Owen Clayton is Senior Lecturer in English Literature at the University of Lincoln. He became an academic after years working in the service industry and then on the railways. Specialising in working class literature and representations of homelessness, Owen is currently writing his second book, which is entitled On and Off the Road: the literature of vagabonds, tramps, and hobos. Katie Dorr is an artist and the former PA and Senior Administrator for the School of English and Journalism at the University of Lincoln.
Nigel Horner is Head of the School of Health and Social Care at the University of Lincoln. He began his practice career in residential child care, before working in community development, mental health settings and then fostering and adoption before turning to Higher Education. Peter Somerville is Professor of Social Policy at the University of Lincoln. He had a career in housing management before becoming a lecturer. He has completed many research projects on homelessness, including on life histories of homeless people.
